Get involved this election
Anyone and everyone can be an advocate for change this federal election.
You don’t need to be an expert in politics or policy or even know everything about the NDIS (who can possibly keep up when everything changes all the time!)
You are the expert in your own experience – and what you think needs to change.
So to help you on your way to be a powerful voice for change this Federal Election, we have created cheat sheets and resources to help you make sure your story is heard loud and clear. See what we have below and check in again soon for more!
But remember, the most important thing is YOU – your story and your ideas.
Telling your story is always very powerful – that’s why we are asking as many people as possible to contact your MPs and your candidates, and share your stories and ideas about what’s needed to get our the NDIS back on track.
What else can I do?
We know not all of us are able to go and meet with our local MP or candidates – so sending an email or sharing on social media is another great way to make your voice heard.
You can find material to share on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram below! Don’t forget to use the hashtags #NDIS and #DefendOurNDIS.
And you can find some tips for writing a letter here or even have a look at a sample letter to make sure you’re heard here (this is the 2019 election version, new one coming soon!).
Calling your MP or Senator is another powerful way to make an impact. You can find a list of all Senators and MPs phone numbers online here.
