Caitlin’s tip the balance story

Tipping the balance logo showing a smiley emoji and a sad emoji on scales with the NDIS logo underneath

My son is 13 and is on the spectrum. He gets NDIS funding. I have bipolar disorder and autism. I have been rejected by the NDIS 4 times and each rejection has left me suicidal. I am struggling to look after my son and myself. I desperately need help but there is no help available. The NDIS has said that there are community supports available but when I have asked the LAC this she has said there is no community support. Why is the NDIS giving out information that isn’t true? I am a qualified primary school teacher and with support I can contribute a lot to society.
