You are not alone: support during this time
Right now, a lot of people are feeling worried, overwhelmed, and uncertain about what changes to the NDIS could mean.
That makes sense.
This isn’t abstract.
This is about your life, your support, your future.
For many people with disability, families and carers, the NDIS is what makes everyday life possible. When that feels under threat, it can bring stress and fear. And right now, there are a lot of unanswered questions.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed
It’s okay to feel this way.
You might be:
- worrying about losing support
- feeling unsure about what comes next
- struggling with the lack of clear information
- feeling angry, frustrated, or exhausted
These are real and valid responses.
You don’t have to push those feelings aside.
And you don’t have to deal with them on your own.
Take things one step at a time
When things feel uncertain, it can help to focus on what’s in front of you right now.
Small things matter:
- checking in with someone you trust
- taking a break from news or social media when it feels too much
- doing something familiar or calming
- asking for help when you need it
You don’t need to have all the answers today.
Stay connected
One of the hardest parts of times like this is feeling alone.
But you are part of a community.
Across the country, people with disability, families, carers and supporters are standing together, sharing experiences, and supporting each other.
Reaching out, even for a short conversation, can make a difference.

There are people who will listen.
