Opinion: NSW public schools receive an ‘F’ for disabled kids

Schools across Australia are failing families and children with a disability and yet nothing is being done to change it.

In May 2015, Children and Young People with a Disability published findings from across Australia that stated exactly the same statistics. A year later and nothing has changed.

Australian Education Union (AEU) federal president, Correna Haythorpe, stated: “The fact that our school system does not have the resources to give children with disability the education they need is a national shame.”
