My 16 yr old son Sebastian has Down syndrome and I love him so much! He’s fun, happy, playful and has always been “one of the kids”.

However, before NDIS funding was available, Sebastian could barely access any speech or occupational therapy and as everyone knows, early intervention is crucial.

So his speech and fine motor skills really need attending to and now with funding he can have 1 hr speech therapy and 45 mins OT each week which is definitely helping him to become a more valued member of society and giving him a little more self-confidence, slowly but surely.
