Dream job

The NDIS is expected to create thousands of new jobs in NSW alone and there’s evidence they are already being created.

With the full roll out of the NDIS just five months away, the agency responsible for running the scheme, the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), is advertising a string of new role as it gears up for the change.

The jobs range from community engagement officers to planners and a range of support positions.

Most of the vacancies are based in the NDIA national head office in Geelong but there are roles available in Western Sydney and regional NSW centres such as Bateman’s Bay, Bega, Gosford, Moree, Katoomba, Tamworth and Taree.

Importantly, more jobs will be advertised in other states as the lead up to the roll out ramps up. You can register your interest and find out more in the NDIA Expected Vacancies Register.

The NDIA is encouraging people with disability to apply. Already more than 16% of NDIA staff identify as having a disability compared to just 3% of the Australia Public Services.

You can find out about the new NDIA roles, as well as information about how to apply here.
