Too early to be worried about NDIS

People with a disability shouldn’t be concerned yet about whether a national insurance scheme is costing too much, advocacy groups say.

The agency in charge of the scheme has warned the government to be vigilant about potential cost overruns and risks such as demand for funding packages outstripping capacity.

“It’s too early to be worried about the cost overruns when the agency is delivering it on time and on budget,” Australian Federation of Disability Organisations CEO Matthew Wright told AAP on Thursday.
