But Disability Leadership Institute founder Christina Ryan says one group – Australia’s largest minority – is consistently missing from the conversation.

“When the word diversity is used it’s never used to mean people with disability,” Ms Ryan said.

“It’s a problem because it’s close to 20 per cent of the Australian population and it’s absent from the public domain.”
