NDIS to come before review

An independent report that could critically affect the final design of WA’s disability services system will not be delivered until after the full rollout of the $22 billion National Disability Insurance Scheme begins.

The final evaluation of two trials in WA — the State Government’s My Way model trial in the Lower South West, Cockburn and Kwinana and the Federal Government’s National Disability Insurance Agency-run model in the Perth Hills — is due to be completed in August.

From July 1, the NDIS will be rolled out across all other States and Territories.
