NDIS down to business

THE countdown has started for the full rollout of the National Disability Insurance Scheme — bringing hope to thousands of Tasmanians but foreshadowing a shake-up for the sector.

The forward march of the scheme is expected to improve the lives of those living with a disability, although there are concerns some small service providers may fall by the wayside.

The next stage of the NDIS starts in July, when children aged 12 to 14 are included.
