National Disability Insurance Scheme struggling to meet enrolment targets, report shows

The first quarterly report from the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) transition phase shows the scheme came nowhere near to hitting its original estimates for enrolees.

Even after those estimates were cut in half in the last few months, the NDIS still missed its targets.

“The approval of plans has been somewhat slower than we expected,” Social Services Minister Christian Porter said.

“But this is a very long process over the next three years. So it’s early days.”
