National Disability Insurance Scheme: Ballarat to join initial rollout with start date of early 2017

Victoria and New South Wales are the first to enter agreements with the Commonwealth for the full rollout, with the scheme due to start in Ballarat in January 2017.

The scheme will more than double the current funding for disability support and include about 105,000 Victorians.

Anna McCracken from Early Childhood Intervention Victoria said services were already transitioning to the new scheme.
