First NDIS shopfront opens in Penrith to support 2,000 children, young people ahead of full rollout

Australia’s first shop front for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) has been officially opened in Western Sydney.

The site in Penrith was opened a full year ahead of the broader roll-out of the NDIS and will focus its work on early intervention support plans and funding for children under the age of 18.

Seven NDIS trial sites have been operating across the country for the past two years but the Penrith site is the first fully operational shop front.
