Disabled Fairfield residents to benefit from NDIS
PEOPLE with a disability will have more say in their care than ever before as of July when the National Disability Insurance Scheme goes live.
NSW Premier Mike Baird last week signed the agreement for the full rollout of the program.
South-western Sydney will be among the first regions to implement the scheme, starting in July 2016.
Woodville Alliance runs a range of disability services in Villawood and chief executive Pam Batkin said her clients were excited about the change.
“They will choose where to spend their money and what to spend it on,” she said.
“There will also be a doubling of resources for users, so they will have more support and more money to help them go about their lives.”
