Disabled employment targets set for NSW justice ministry

Australia’s Got Talent star Paul Nunnari shot to fame as TV’s “Other Superman”, challenging perceptions about what the disabled can achieve. By day, his Clark Kent persona works in the NSW Premier’s department.

Mr Nunnari says employers need to overcome their bias towards disabled workers.

The justice department will become the first NSW government agency to introduce employment targets for disabled workers, in a government-wide push to reverse a fall in employment rates.

A plummet in the number of disabled people working for the NSW government had sparked calls last year for targets modelled on gender targets.
