Budget 2015: Students with disabilities to get record $1.3 billion boost for extra help in classroom

Students with a disability will get extra support, with the Federal Government allocating a record $1.3 billion in the budget for the year ahead.

Schools and parents have long argued the students need extra support in the classroom.

The extra funding will add up to more than $5 billion over the next four years.

It comes on top of the previously announced $840 million program, to be rolled out over the next two years, to ensure children can go to preschool in the year before school.
