Every Australian Counts

Introduction:

Thank you for your interest in joining the Steering Committee for Every Australian Counts (EAC) campaign.

This document outlines the roles, responsibilities, and expectations for Steering Committee members. We are seeking passionate and committed individuals to help guide and shape the future of the EAC campaign, ensuring that it continues to advocate effectively for people with disabilities across Australia. Our campaign is driven by the voices of our supporters.

Background:

The EAC campaign, initiated by the then National Disability and Carer Alliance in 2011, has been a significant force in advocating for the introduction and ongoing improvement of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). EAC’s mission is to ensure that the NDIS delivers on its promises to people with disabilities, their families, and carers.

As the campaign moves forward under the auspice of the Australian Federation of Disability Organisations (AFDO), we are expanding the Steering Committee to strengthen our connection with grassroots supporters and continue driving positive change.

With significant NDIS reforms underway, now is the time to ensure that the Scheme delivers on its promise for participants and their families.
