Changes to NDIS planning, access and the way your NDIS plan is funded are all about to change with the introduction of NDIS compulsory assessments.

These tick-a-box assessments will determine who gets support from the NDIS – and how much support they get.

These assessments are the biggest change to the NDIS since the scheme began. And they are being rushed in despite the serious concerns of people with disability, their families and our community.

Use the form on this page to write to your local MP. Tell them why you are so concerned about these massive changes to the NDIS.

Call or meet with your local MP

It’s also good to call your local MP and speak to them over the phone. You can get their phone number from the Parliament website.

You can also ask to meet your MP in person. If you’re a bit nervous don’t worry – we have a handy guide which has everything you need to make sure the meeting goes smoothly.

We know the issue of changes to the NDIS including compulsory assessments is complicated and confusing. Don’t worry – your MP won’t expect you to be an expert. You just have to talk about why the changes won’t work for you. But we have also created a cheat sheet about NDIS assessments that you can leave behind with your MP if they want to know more.
