I Count

Lynn’s message

I am a single mother of 3 children. My eldest has severe autism. She is 12 years old, non verbal and still in the process of being toilet trained. Life in our household can be crazy, hectic and tough. Sometimes the rest of the family just needs a break so that we can be “normal”. In my perfect world my beautiful Special K, wouldn’t have this terrible disorder….but life is not perfect. I dream of a life for Kayla where she will be safe and loved, when I am gone. I get very upset when I think that the burden of her care will rest on her younger siblings shoulders one day. I need access to more respite to give my other kids some normal time.
