John Holden’s message

As the sole provider for a family of disabled people, and now having to re-train for a new career in middle-age, I see and experience the need for effective support of all disabled people and their families (who are carers). The support will enable inclusion in society of my legally-blind wife and my intellectually-disabled child, whereas lack of support will leave us as shut-ins. Support will mean being able to study and make a contribution to the community, and will mean living a meaningful life. The NDIS is a critical step towards giving all disabled folk the inclusion that they need.
