Genevieve Caffery’s message

Dear Premier Campbell Newman,

I would like to urge your full support, which must include our State’s financial backing of the National Disability Insurance Scheme. Verbal support is not enough. It is a matter of priorities. People with a disability and their carers have already been waiting too long for such a scheme. It is disturbing to see how many agencies seeking to help those who are struggling in our society that have had their funding cut and now Queensland is conspicuous by its absence in putting money into the trials. If we are to be judged by how we treat the most vulnerable in our society, Queensland is sadly rating poorly.
