Coming Soon – Join us for a disabiliTEA 2 August
As part of our rolling program of campaign events, on Tuesday 2 August, we plan to hold a tea (Disabili-TEA) right across Australia.
This event follows the delivery of the Final Report of the Productivity Commission to the Government on 31 July.
The tea is an opportunity for the community to get together in cities, towns and suburbs right across the nation and flags the start of the next phase of the campaign. We are seeking support from all organisations – big and small – around the country to host teas.
You could also host a tea with your family, friends, neighbours, and carers.
It’s a great time to keep spreading the NDIS message as well as getting your local Federal MP to the event and to lobby them about the NDIS.
Stay tuned here for more details or contact your state co-ordinator.

Great idea and yes, we’d love to support this initiative.
Great idea. I would like to support this initiative too
How do you host an official tea I have a sister
With disabilities and I would really love to fight
For this cause
Information about how to host an official disabiliTEA will be up on the website at the end of June. Thanks for your support.
Fantastic plan. I will be inviting family and friends to join me. :)
Looking forward to hosting a disabiliTEA we need as many people in our corner as possible!
I will do everything I can, even if it means denying myself even further, to help others via the NDIS. What happened to us borders on criminal, must never happen again to anyone.
Thank You All
Would really like to get involved with a hosting a disabiliTEA.
I am a full time carer to my brother and will help any way i can.
In Gabriellas name and for the benefit of all disabled I would like to be involved and hold a disabiliTEA morning on a regular basis. As a carer I know only too well the needs of a loved one who needs care for their very survival. Lets make Government understand the needs they have.
HI Rosa

Wonderful – would love Family Options to be involved
I think this is great.. look forward to finding resources to be able to host a morning tea and getting involved..
This is the most hope I have had in such a long time. My daughter is 20 and resources, respite and the chance for me to work full-time is no longer an option. There are none or few day care mums who will take on disabled adolescents. The older she becomes the more isolated and frustrated I feel.
9 – 3 four days a week although wonderful is a far cry from what is needed for support of the family system.
What a great idea!! I look forward to hearing more about it to enable me to host a morning tea and get involved in such a great cause!
Great idea! Look forward to being involved in hosting a DisabiliTEA for such a worthy cause.

A work colleague alerted me to this issue, then I saw the media, could not attend our local DisabiliTEA today but really wanted to stand up and be counted for this essntial support. Support for individuals, babies, children and adults and their families. Hope to share DisabiliTEA this evening with a group of young families.
Wow what an event. We had a morning tea in Wollongong at Kewmbla Grange Racecourse
Over 1000 attended, great time by all, great fun and the message got out about NDIS.
Alot of people signed up in support.
When is the next big event so we can plan for it?
Keep up the good work to all.
