Claire’s Story

My son is turning 5 in April and he has Aspergers. Whilst we have the funding from Autism advisory we always fall short before the year is over. When callum turns 6 he will no longer have any funding to help with his psychologist, speech or OT sessions. We struggle as it is financially but are now faced with the fact that we need $10000.00 minimum a year to get the intervention that he needs. It breaks my heart as I want to do everything humanly possible to give him a better life and with money standing in the way it scares me. I have gone above and beyond to help my son just as many others do but the government really needs to recognise this and put the scheme in place. My sons future depends on it.
